Inquiry about the exhibition

Brognon Rollin is one of the four finalists for the Prix Marcel Duchamp 2026.

Since 2006, David Brognon et Stéphanie Rollin have been developing a unique body of work (installations, sculptures, videos, performances, photos) in which humans are the main material and encounters are the driving force. Their work gives substance to the experience of time, duration and waiting - as close as possible to reality, often in places where society relegates, marginalises and renders invisible. "Our universe is the periphery, that space-time that we do not want to see."

For the Prix Marcel Duchamp 2026, Brognon Rollin are presenting an installation, centred on "sobriety tokens" - the medals awarded in support groups to mark milestones in abstinence. They have been collecting them since 2022 - that's over 5,000 years' worth of sobriety in total - arranged in four Coin Pusher whose pushers move only very slowly. Also on display are three night lights connected live to Kate ? who has been sober for eight years - which reveal her wanderings to us.

The winner of the Prix Marcel Duchamp 2026 will be announced this Thursday, October 22, at 6.30 pm
