For this edition of MAD, mfc-michèle didier presents a selection of its editions, concentrating its choice on its production of newspapers and vinyls.

Saâdane Afif: his practice is fundamentally linked to music. Scores, instruments, recordings, concerts and posters are an important part of his artistic vocabulary. His works address themes such as the passage of time, appropriation, remake, repetition, the displacement of meaning, and criticism of institutions.

Ludovic Chemarin©: a limited edition box comprising three vinyl records accompanied by a booklet, titled Moments, this production opens a more intimate, airy, diffuse and sensitive dimension around the project and the artist ©. The music was composed by Christophe Demarthe for the text of the booklet, which by author Olivier Combault.

Leigh Ledare: the third volume of Double Bind, entitled Ephemeras, proposes a third series of images in six magazines, each consisting of 80 pages. They visually reconstitute a series of 480 ephemeras which represent only partially the iconography the artist has collected over time.

Laurent Marissal's works starts from this contradiction: Cain commits the first crime, by killing his brother Abel, but is also the founding father of Art thanks to the creation of the first city, Enoch, thus giving birth to civilization. Caïn is constitued of a newspaper and a vinyl, on which the text of the newspaper is chanted in Arabic and cantillated in Hebrew.

Gustav Metzger's proposition is to exhibit the edition of The Daily Express as a ready-made for the exhibition The Festival of Misfits in 1962: this proposition is rejected by the organizers. Almost sixty years later, we are unveiling a work conceived by the artist but never achieved...

Mathieu Mercier: This is a limited edition newspaper, containing a series of nude photographs, all coming from Mathieu Mercier private collection. Where do these images come from? From a lost paradise? Mathieu Mercier tries to provide an answer.
