Klaus Scherübel

Klaus Scherübel was born in 1968 in Austria. He lives and work in Montreal. The conceptual practice of Scherübel calls upon diverse mediums, such as photography, video, texts, books, and painting. He proposes a critical analysis of the various systems of cultural production through the fields of visual arts, literature, and the entertainment industry. The artist initiates statements on the idea of process by integrating different roles of behavior in order to distort and question the status of a work.
